Our chief financial officer here at Driven Sound and Security had her 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee attacked by a flock of turkeys. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, turkeys become quite aggressive during mating season and are known to peck aggressively at reflective surfaces. The rear bumper of our CFO’s Jeep took the brunt of their attack.
We started the correction process by washing and decontaminating the surface before moving to a color sanding process to move the peck marks and scratches. Once the surface was smooth, we used a heavy compound to remove the sanding marks. Next up was a refining polish to take out the compounding marks. The finishing step was a jeweling polish to restore the shine and give the paint a deep, rich look.
The “after” photos you see here were taken without the use of any wax, glazes or fillers. That’s just raw, shiny paint.
If your paint has seen better days or suffered an attack by the local wildlife, drop by DrivenSS and speak with a member of our team about our detailing services. We’d be happy to restore the shine to your ride. For more information, send us an e-mail using our contact page.
