A client from Ishpeming, Michigan, contacted Driven Sound and Security to inquire about a 2017 Toyota Highlander paint correction project. Upon inspection, it was clear that the paint had some scratches and swirl marks from improper washing procedures. We suggested that our Stage II+ correction package would get the Toyota Highlander looking like new again.
We started by removing large debris and any waxes or sealants on the paint surface. Next, we went over the entire vehicle using a medium-cut compound to remove the deep scratches and swirls. Next, we polished the finish with a jeweling compound to bring out a deep, lustrous finish.
With the paint looking great, we coated the truck with Gtechniq Crystal Syrum Ultra. Once it was cured, we applied two coats of Gtechniq EXO. EXO is a hydrophobic coating that not only helps to keep the vehicle clean, but makes it easier to wash when it does get dirty.
We finished the detailing package by polishing the glass and coating it with G1 Smart Glass and treating the wheels with C5 wheel armor.
