A lot of our Driven Sound & Security customers have Android-based smartphones. If you are looking for a way to safely use your Android phone in your vehicle, then you owe it to yourself to check out the Android Auto-equipped multimedia systems from Kenwood.
Android phones running Android Version 5.0 (Lollipop) or newer can connect with the Android Auto-equipped Kenwood DDX9702S or Kenwood eXcelon DDX9902S multimedia receivers. Connectivity is as simple as downloading and installing the Android Auto app from the Google Play store, connecting your phone and pressing the Android Auto button on the 7” touch screen of the radio. What you do next is up to you!
Take Me To Your Leader
There are few things more frustrating than attempting to navigate a city you have never been to before. With Android Auto, all you have to do is ask for what you want. Press the microphone button and say, “Take me to Driven Sound & Security in Negaunee, Michigan.” Google will search for our address and plot an efficient and safe route right to our doorstep. Turn-by-turn navigation, text-to-speech street name pronunciation and much more make navigating with Google Maps quick and easy.
Stay In Touch
Phone call and text messaging support are also built into Android Auto. You can ask Android Auto to call someone in your phonebook, or you can speak the digits you want it to dial for you. Because Android Auto and Google work together, you can ask it to “Call Driven Sound & Security.” You can even check voicemail without taking your eyes off the road. The system can read your incoming text messages to you, and you can reply just by talking. Sending a text message is just as easy. All you have to do is say, “Send a text to 555-555-5555.” The system will ask you to say your message, then repeat it back to you and ask for confirmation before sending.
Entertainment
Android Auto gives you access to all the music you could ever want. You have instant access to whatever music is stored on your phone, or from a streaming service. Music application compatibility includes Google Play Music, Spotify, Stitcher, iHeart Radio and TuneIn. No matter what your preference is, entertainment is readily available.
