Use Drone from DrivenSS Each Morning to Warm Up Your Vehicle

December 30, 2020 By Jeremy Lambertson Leave a Comment

Drone VehicleWhether you’re just rolling out of bed or have worked the night shift, being able to warm your vehicle using the Drone telematics system is a day-maker. Since most of us have our smartphones beside our bed or in our pocket, it only takes a second or two to send a request to your vehicle to start the engine. Let’s take a look at how Drone works and why it’s the most reliable and convenient way to control your remote car starter.

Remote Start System Control Options

Drone VehicleThe Compustar remote car starters we offer here at DrivenSS can typically be controlled in one of three ways. First, you can use the key fob that came with the vehicle to start the engine. All you have to do is press the Lock button three times in quick succession, and the car or truck will start. If you’ve chosen a Radio Frequency (RF) remote package, you may have as much as 3 miles of range between you and the vehicle to send commands. Press and hold the start button, and your vehicle will start warming up.

Drone is the ultimate remote start control solution. Drone uses an interface that connects to the remote start controller in your vehicle. This interface contains a cellular data radio that communicates with Drone’s servers. Using the DroneMobile app on your smartphone or smartwatch, you can send the start command to your vehicle from anywhere you can access cellular or Wi-Fi internet. In short, you can be almost anywhere in the world and use Drone to control and monitor your car or truck.

What Else Can Drone Do?

The DroneMobile interface is crammed full of features. You can monitor the battery voltage in your vehicle or check the temperature inside. If it’s a particularly cold morning, you may want to start the vehicle a little earlier. In most vehicles, we can automatically activate the rear window defroster when the engine starts, so it will be easier to clear the snow and ice off of the vehicle. We can also add control for a heated steering wheel or heated seats. If your vehicle doesn’t have seat heaters, ask us about adding them.

If you have chosen the Premium, Premium Plus or Ultimate service plan, Drone can tell you exactly where your vehicle is, using its integrated GPS receiver. If a family member is using your car, you can check to make sure they’re safe. If you run a company, you can monitor your assets.

Upgrade Your Vehicle with Drone from DrivenSS

If you’re tired of getting into a cold vehicle every morning, drop by Driven Sound and Security in Marquette and ask about a remote car starter with Drone. If you can’t visit the store, give us a call or send our team an e-mail using our contact form.
