The automotive care experts at Driven Sound and Security have recently added rustproofing services to our list of car protection options. We knew that our Paint Protection Film and ceramic coatings would keep the outside of your car looking its best. However, we wanted to add a way to keep the insides of the doors, fenders and rocker panels looking new for years. As such, we’ve partnered with Rust Check to offer their premium rust prevention products in combination with our expertise in installation.
Why Do You Need Rustproofing?
Michigan uses more than 4 billion pounds of road salt each year to help keep our roads safe in the winter. Applying road salts like calcium chloride and magnesium chloride help prevent water on the road from freezing. However, they wreak havoc with the body panels, suspension components, steel lines and cables under your vehicle. These chemicals cause corrosion and rust, costing you money in repairs and ultimately wearing your vehicle out sooner.
Our Rust Check products are designed to prevent salt and water from coming into direct contact with the vital metal components of your vehicle. We spray our protective coating into joints, folds, seams and spot welds to displace water and salt. The coating is designed to penetrate even the smallest of crevices and bond directly to the metal surfaces. We can coat brake, fuel lines, emissions hoses and even wiring under the vehicle to ensure that your car, truck or SUV will last longer and operate more reliably.
Expert Installation Ensures Maximum Protection
The members of the team here at Driven Sound and Security are experts when it comes to working on vehicles. Our decades of experience installing audio system upgrades, remote car starters and window tint give us a unique skill set that allows us to work on your car, truck or SUV efficiently and safely.
If your vehicle isn’t brand-new, we start the rustproofing application with a salt brine removal and cleaning process. This crucial step helps to remove corrosion-causing chemicals from the nooks and crannies of your vehicle. Once the vehicle has dried, we begin the protection process. We ensure that our Rust Check coating is applied to all critical surfaces. We have the proper tools required to treat doors through existing drain holes so we don’t have to remove panels. We have a set of QuickJack lifts to get under the vehicle to coat seams and panel joints thoroughly. We use existing drain holes whenever possible and avoid drilling access holes.
Rust Check Warranty
We looked at many rustproofing options before we made the decision to partner with Rust Check, which has been offering class-leading rust prevention solutions since 1973. Not only do their products perform as described, but they are environmentally friendly – something not all solutions can claim. Aside from the corrosion protection properties, two features of Rust Check that many of our clients appreciate are that the coating has a pleasant cherry smell and it doesn’t melt and drip on your driveway when the vehicle gets hot in the summer.
Our Rust Check services are backed by a lifetime, annually renewable warranty against rusting from the inside out. The warranty is available for vehicles up to three years old, pending an inspection, has no mileage limits and is transferable to new owners. As long as the vehicle is “Rust Checked” each year, you are protected.
