We were recently asked to quote on a Porsche Panamera window tint project for a client from Marquette. He wanted to keep the interior of his luxury sedan cooler without resorting to a “limo”-style dark tint. We showed him several options we had available and explained the IR energy rejection capabilities of each. The client chose our 3M FX Premium tint in a 15% shade.
FX Premium film blocks 43% of the total solar energy from the sun to make a vehicle more comfortable. Its 95% UV rejection also protects the client’s skin, as well as the plastics and leathers in the interior, from sun damage.
Although this car is a few years old, the high-quality window tint will go a long way toward keeping the vehicle looking like new.
We brought the sedan into our dedicated tint bay and began the processing of cleaning the windows in preparation for the film installation. Once the film was cut and in place, we used a rubber squeegee to remove any water between the film and the glass to provide excellent optical clarity.
