The Ishpeming-based owner of this 2012 GMC Terrain brought his truck to Driven Sound & Security in Negaunee for a thorough detailing. Since we hadn’t seen the truck for a while, we had to wash it before determining what would be required to make the truck look immaculate.
We started by rinsing the truck with hot water and spraying it with soap from our foam gun. After letting the soap loosen dust and debris, we washed the truck by hand. We finished by thoroughly rinsing off the soap. This allowed us to inspect the paint and determine what, if anything, the next stage would involve.
After our inspection, it was clear that the paint required tar and rail-dust removal. We also cleaned the wheels of road grime and brake dust at the same time. Once the paint was smooth, we re-washed the vehicle to ensure any chemicals on the paint were thoroughly neutralized. After a final rinse, it was on to the drying stage.
We finished with carnauba wax to protect the paint and tire dressing. The client was thrilled with the transformation.
