Heated Seats Add More Warmth to Your Ride

January 19, 2018 By Jeremy Lambertson Leave a Comment

Heated SeatsDuring the long, cold winters in Negaunee, Driven Sound and Security has been keeping people’s bottoms warm since 2011 by adding heated seats to our clients’ vehicles. Seat-warming solutions have become a standard option from some manufacturers, but many vehicles do not have this feature, especially if ones with cloth seats.

Seat Heater Systems

Heated SeatsWe use high-flexibility, carbon fiber element seat-heating systems in our client vehicles. These warming elements are thin and durable. They provide warmth where required while remaining undetectable once the installation is complete. Speaking of installations, our team of expert technicians can work around most occupant detection systems and unique upholstery characteristics.

The heating elements are woven into a hexagonal honeycomb pattern to ensure equal heat distribution across the bottom and back heating element pads. A thermostat controls the temperature of the heating pads to ensure you will be comfortable.

Designed to Suit Different Applications

Since seats come in various shapes and sizes, this honeycomb pattern is very important. Let’s look at two dramatically different examples: a truck bench seat and a Camaro front seat. Since the bench seat is long and wide, we don’t want just a warm spot — we would like the whole driver’s or passenger section to be warm. In the Camaro, the seat is made to hug the driver. It has high sides (bolsters) to hold you in place, resulting in a lower cushion that is relatively small. The honeycomb design allows us to reduce the size of the pad so it works perfectly for both applications.

Keep Kids and Pets Comfortable

Very few manufacturers offer seat heaters for rear-seat passengers. Depending on the construction of your seats, we can usually add a heating to the rear seats. The obvious use of the feature is to keep the kids warm. What about our pets? Pets are a big part of our families; we can keep them warm and comfortable as well.

Heated Seats Work with a Remote Starter

Heated SeatsIf you already have a remote starter, or are thinking of adding one, the mechanical high/low switch lets you turn on the seat heaters as soon as you start the car. Just flip your seat warmer on high when you park. Not only would your engine get warmed up, your fabric or leather seats would be all toasty warm when you enter the vehicle.

OEM Quality Heating Elements

All of our heated seat packages include the same High/Low settings as are found in luxury vehicles. Driven Sound and Security backs our seat heating kits with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. In Negaunee and the surrounding area, we pride ourselves on our partnerships with local car dealerships. Many of our customers have noticed that our seat-heating solutions cost a fraction of upgrading to the next trim level for most vehicles. Ask your dealer about having us install seat heaters in your new vehicle.
