DrivenSS Ceramic Coating Packages and Options

June 15, 2020 By Jeremy Lambertson Leave a Comment

ceramic coating packagesDriven Sound and Security in Marquette offers several ceramic coating packages to help keep your car or truck looking great. Our packages are based on the performance longevity of the coating and the condition of your vehicle. If you’re curious about how ceramic coating can make your vehicle easier to keep clean and you’d like to understand the process and options, read on!

What Is Ceramic Coating?

Natural waxes like Carnauba offer excellent shine but don’t last very long. Glazes and sealants can last a little longer. Neither option adds any protection to the paint. Ceramic coatings are like a micro-blanket of protection that we apply to the painted surfaces of your vehicle. The coating is extremely durable and helps protect against swirl marks from improper washing. The hydrophobic properties of the coating help water bead up and roll right off the paint, making your vehicle easier to maintain, so it continues to look awesome.

Driven Sound and Security Vehicle Inspection

ceramic coating packagesWe ask every client who contacts DrivenSS to bring their vehicle to us for an in-person inspection. This inspection allows us to understand your expectations and study the vehicle’s condition. We’ll examine the paint, trim, lights, wheels and even the glass to quantify their cleanliness and identify any damage. Scratches and scuffs may need wet-sanding or paint correction, while light swirls or holograms can often be fixed with a polishing compound.

All of our ceramic coating installations begin with the vehicle being decontaminated to remove fallout, rail and brake dust, tree sap and road tar. Once the debris is removed from the paint, we wash the vehicle and blow it dry. Each panel is inspected with a bright LED light to expose anything that needs attention before we begin correcting or polishing.

Nine-year Ceramic Coating Package

If you want your pride and joy to look its best, then Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra is the ultimate choice. This ceramic coating combines 7- and 20-nanometer particles to create a strong and flexible base layer with a 7h hardness. The chemicals cross-link on the top surface to provide a durable, scratch-resistant coating with a hardness of 10h. This layer resists damage from wash chemicals, bird droppings and tree sap and staining from road tar or grease.

The hydrophobic properties of the coating help water roll off your vehicle and, in the process, take dirt and debris with it. We can enhance the hydrophobicity with a layer of EXOv4 to make the vehicle even easier to clean.

Five-year Ceramic Coating

Our five-year coating package starts with the same detailed surface preparation, and then we coat your vehicle with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light. Crystal Serum Light has a surface hardness of 9h to help prevent swirls and holograms from washing. The coating provides impressive resistance to damage and staining from harsh chemicals and can also be topped with EXOv4 for improved hydrophobicity.

Scratch Warranty

Our five- and nine-year coating packages include our scratch warranty. If a mechanic closes your hood with a dirty rag or someone brushes up against your vehicle, the warranty will pay for up to $3,500 in repairs. Simply give us a call to book an inspection appointment, and we’ll determine what it will take to make your car look like new again. The warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by accidents that may require painting.

Two-year Ceramic Coating

Gtechniq EXOv4 is our solution for our two-year protection package. After the same preparation process, EXO is applied to deliver a durable hydrophobic coating that resists road salt and harsh washing chemicals and helps prevent micro-marring from washing and day-to-day driving.

Protection Package Upgrades

All of our packages can be upgraded with additional layers of coating to provide a deeper shine and increased protection. We can coat your wheels to keep brake dust from sticking to them, and we have trim restorers that make plastics and vinyl look shiny and black. To keep the interior of your vehicle looking like new, our cloth and leather coatings resist staining and help prevent fading. We also have hydrophobic window treatments that improve the performance of your windshield wipers to make driving safer.
