Since the beginning, DrivenSS has always strived to be the best at what they do, and they’ve seen their hard work pay off over the years. Driven Sound and Security History
Jeremy Lambertson, owner of Driven Sound and Security, has always had a passion for music and cars. In fact, he bought his first truck when he was 13 years old. His dad helped him restore that 1979 Chevy half-ton. A lot of sweat and time went into getting that vehicle into shape again, making Jeremy a proud owner when it was all said and done. He didn’t know exactly how much he was learning then, but gaining knowledge of how to work on trucks has become invaluable – much of the work he does today happens to be for trucks.
Before Driven Sound and Security ever opened, Jeremy worked as a technician in a car audio shop. Here, he learned a lot of hands-on techniques about installation. During this time, Jeremy also learned a lot about the ‘behind the scenes’ of owning and running a business. Again, he was setting himself up for success down the road. Years later, Jeremy opened up his own car audio shop which he ran for seven years and then decided to sell it for a profit.
Driven Sound and Security Opens up Shop
To this day, Jeremy can say that he loves what he does. After selling his previous store, he realized he missed being in the industry and decided to open up another shop. This time, the name was Driven Sound and Security, and it is the store you see today. Most days at the shop don’t even feel like work to him. It’s a great thing to not only own a successful business, but to also enjoy the journey.
Growing through the Years
From day one, excellent customer service has been the driving force behind everything that happens at Driven Sound and Security. Some things have grown and changed over the past few years, but the quality of service they offer their clients has remained steady.
When the shop opened, all of the displays were hand-built and the business focused on two main categories: car audio and remote starters. Now, they have grown exponentially and have expanded to expertise in window tint, detailing and driver safety.
Over the past several years, they’ve had Avidworx come in to redo the showroom and upgrade their displays. Two years ago, they also saw the need to expand their installation department, so they added another install bay. DrivenSS is committing to growing and expanding with each passing year.
Today, Driven Sound and Security is looking to expand their team. As business continues to grow, they are ready to keep up with the demand. Currently, Jeremy and his wife Carrie own and run the store with the help of their greeter/pup named Tonka. They are looking to add an auto detailer and another salesperson to the team.
Since that first truck he bought as a young boy, Jeremy has owned almost 70 other vehicles. Customizing cars is one of his greatest passions, and it shows through all of the work he’s put in over the years. The Driven Sound and Security Experience
When you step inside the store at DSS, not only will you receive superior customer service, you’ll also find a spotless, clean and organized shop. Their store is far from your typical car shop. They always have music and videos playing, and clients often comment on the fresh scents they smell when they walk in, thanks to the air fresheners always in use. Every detail matters.
When asked, “What do you love most about owning Driven Sound and Security?” Jeremy answered, “I love seeing the smile on a client’s face when they pick up their vehicle. Each smile represents a happy client, which means we did our job well. That is one thing that will never get old.”
