A client from Negaunee, MI, contacted Driven Sound & Security to inquire about having the windows of his 2016 Subaru WRX tinted. We showed the client different film options and explained the benefits of each. The client like the idea of a film that would look good and block both UV and IR rays. We provided the client with a quote to apply the film and, with his approval, scheduled an appointment to do the work.
The client chose our premium 3M window film. This film will block up to 99% of UV rays and up to 70% of IR. This keeps the interior of the vehicle cooler and prevents materials from fading. The IR protection also eases the load on the vehicle’s air conditioning system. The client chose a film with 15% light transmission for a nice dark look, but not so dark that it would be difficult to see through it at night.
